415. Jury & Witness Duty
If you are summoned for jury duty or to appear in court as a witness, you must notify your supervisor as soon as it is known you have been summoned.
To qualify for either jury or witness duty leave, you must submit a copy of the summons to your supervisor as soon as it is received. In addition, you must also submit to your supervisor any related proof of service when the period of jury or witness duty is completed. The Company will grant regular pay up to forty (40) hours for the purpose of jury service or to appear in court as a witness. Should the court dismiss the employee early or request the employee to report at a later time, the employee must report to work to perform regular duties prior to or after completing jury duty or appearing as a witness, unless the Company approves otherwise. No adverse employment action will be taken against employees due to their service as either a juror or witness in state or federal courts.
